Burj Khalifa is a mixed use skyscraper in Downtown Dubai. It is used for residential living, hotel stays, business, dining, tourism and leisure.

The tower contains 900 homes, 144 Armani Residences, 160 Armani Hotel Dubai rooms, 37 floors of Corporate Suites, restaurants, observation decks and several leisure facilities.

Read below to see what is inside Burj Khalifa, how its floors are used, and what tourists can do there.

What Is Inside The Burj Khalifa?

The Burj Khalifa contains several different types of spaces instead of serving one purpose. People live in its private apartments, guests stay at Armani Hotel Dubai, businesses use Corporate Suites, and tourists visit its observation decks and dining venues.

Here are the main uses inside the Burj Khalifa.

    Residential Apartments

The Burj Khalifa has 900 residential homes across several sections of the tower. These include studios, one, two, three and four bedroom apartments. The official building information places The Residence across levels 19 to 37, 43 to 72 and 76 to 108.

The tower also contains 144 Armani Residences on levels 9 to 16. These homes have interiors created around Giorgio Armani’s style and include private residential facilities.

This means people use a large part of Burj Khalifa as their home. Residential areas also connect with private lounges, fitness facilities, pools and other amenities within the tower.

    Restaurants and Dining

Dining is another major use of Burj Khalifa. The tower has At.mosphere on Level 122, along with several restaurants and dining venues within Armani Hotel Dubai.

At.mosphere is one of the building’s best known dining venues. Located on Level 122, it offers a restaurant, lounge and bar experience. Armani Hotel Dubai also provides several dining options serving different cuisines and styles.

These dining venues add another use to Burj Khalifa beyond residential, business and tourism functions. They serve residents, hotel guests and people visiting the tower for dining and leisure.

    Corporate Offices

Burj Khalifa also provides space for businesses through its Corporate Suites. These occupy 37 floors in the upper part of the tower. The Corporate Suites are located across levels 112 to 121 and 125 to 154, with some floors serving other functions.

This gives companies a business address inside one of Dubai’s most recognized buildings. The tower therefore serves a commercial purpose alongside its residential and hotel functions.

    Observation Decks and Tourism

Tourism is one of the most visible uses of Burj Khalifa. The tower has several observation experiences where tourists can see Dubai from great heights.

At the Top operates on levels 124 and 125, with the observation area reaching about 456 metres above the ground.

At the Top SKY is located on level 148. Burj Khalifa also offers a lounge experience on levels 152, 153 and 154, reaching about 585 metres.

Families, tourists and photographers use these areas to enjoy city views and take pictures. Some experiences also include guided tours, refreshments, outdoor areas and other activities.

The observation decks make Burj Khalifa a major tourist attraction, but tourism represents only one part of its overall use.

    Leisure and Resident Facilities

Burj Khalifa also provides facilities for relaxation, fitness and everyday life. The tower has five swimming pools, a health club, fitness facilities, a library and other resident amenities.

Pools are located at the Armani Hotel, The Club, the rooftop of The Club, level 43 and level 76.

The Sky Lobbies on levels 43, 76 and 123 also provide fitness facilities. The level 43 and 76 Sky Lobbies include pools, Jacuzzis and recreational rooms for residents and their activities.

These facilities support residential living and hotel stays alongside the tower’s tourist experiences.

What Are The Different Floors of Burj Khalifa Used For?

Different sections of Burj Khalifa serve different purposes. The building’s official floor plan shows how residential, hotel, business, dining and tourism spaces are arranged throughout the tower.

    The main floor uses are:

What Do Visitors Use Burj Khalifa For?

Tourists mainly use Burj Khalifa for sightseeing, dining and special experiences. The observation decks give you views across Dubai, while the tower’s restaurants and lounges offer another way to spend time inside the building.

    The main visitor uses include:

    • Viewing Dubai: Levels 124 and 125 provide views from about 456 metres
    • Visiting level 148: At the Top SKY offers a higher observation experience with an outdoor terrace
    • Enjoying the upper lounge: Levels 152 to 154 offer a lounge experience at about 585 metres
    • Dining: At.mosphere on level 122 provides a restaurant and lounge experience
    • Enjoying hotel dining: Armani Hotel Dubai has several dining options
    • Taking photographs: The observation areas provide wide views across Dubai

These experiences make the tower useful for short visits as well as longer stays.

How Does Burj Khalifa Benefit Dubai?

Burj Khalifa supports several parts of Dubai’s economy and tourism sector because it brings together homes, hotel accommodation, business space, restaurants and visitor attractions in one major development.

Its tourism facilities attract people who want to see Dubai from high above the city. The tower provides accommodation, restaurants serve residents and guests, and Corporate Suites provide space for businesses. Its residential units also form part of the wider property market in Downtown Dubai.

The tower also gives Downtown Dubai a major landmark that helps draw attention to the area. Its combination of residential, business, hospitality and tourism uses allows different activities to take place in one location.

    Conclusion

Burj Khalifa serves as an important part of Dubai’s Downtown area, with different activities taking place within the same landmark.

Its wide range of uses makes it relevant to residents, businesses, hotel guests and tourists alike.

Whether you are learning about Dubai, planning a visit or simply curious about the building, knowing its purpose gives you a clearer picture of why Burj Khalifa remains such a well known part of the city.
